What A Trying Year

I don’t put too much personal stuff on here, but the 2nd half of 2014 was one of the roughest times I had had in a while. I wasn’t feeling well (still not 100%), lost my cousin (love you!), nasty breakup, character was falsely attacked, I was betrayed, lied on/to something serious. All these things happened back to back. It’s enough to make a person break and sometimes it felt like I might.

…but God is so awesome y’all. Like seriously. In spite of it all I kept going, kept treating people right, kept relying on the Lord. He saw me through all of it. I forgave. I cried. I prayed. I released it. I rest well knowing that I don’t have anything bad coming back to me because of how I treated people. You call it Karma, I call it reaping and sowing. I’ve sown, and continue to sow, good seeds- and that’s why I feel like I’ve experienced such a turnaround.

I don’t know if I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that when you release the wrong people the right ones come along. I think sometimes it’s just that you get so focused on the wrong things/people that you overlook the good ones….but what I do know is this, when you shift your focus you get better results. I’m no longer focused on things/people that aren’t worth my time. I’m focusing on bigger/better. I know God will grant the desires of my heart and bless me with more good, godly people. Every since the wrong people have left I’ve experienced such a turnaround in my relationships with people, my business, and so much more. I’m happier, I’m more free.

…oh, and let me tell you something. Not everyone is going to leave your life easily. Sometimes it takes something big, something major, for that separation to take place…kinda like in the Bible in Exodus 9 when God hardened Pharaoh’s heart so that when he (Pharaoh) finally released the Israelites he’d do it with a strong hand and know that God did it…but only after God released several plagues on the land. Don’t you fret, ladies and gents…it’s sad, but some people will be dealt with harshly just because of how they treated you. God doesn’t like it when people do His children wrong. .
