It’s More Blessed To Give Day

“It’s More Blessed to Give Day” is a day to celebrate the blessedness of giving. The Lord Jesus Christ placed it on our heart to birth this holiday. This holy-day is designed to show what the Lord Jesus Christ meant when he said, “It is more blessed to give than receive.” The verse that this concept was taken from is Acts 20:35; and it reads, “I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

God Almighty was the first one to start this blessed concept! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) See this is not a new concept but it is a kingdom principle that should be shared and celebrated with the world. God Almighty was so loving and kind that he allowed my wife and I too celebrate our 4th year wedding anniversary at Couples Swept Away Resort in Negril Jamaica.

While we were down there he gave us the honor of birthing the Holiday, “Its More Blessed To Give Day,” on May 7, 2009. Now this was the first year this holiday was celebrated, but Faith Talk Ministries hopes that everyone will continue to celebrate this holiday every May 7th. However, our prayer is that you want just celebrate this blessedness on May 7th but that you will make this a lifestyle. A lifestyle of giving is one of the most blessed lifestyles you can experience. This is the very lifestyle that our Father enjoys.

Give someone something that costs you something and let us know how it felt. You can reach us under “Contact Us” on the left hand menu at the bottom of the page. Just click the Contact menu button, choose Faith Experiences, and write us about what you gave and how it felt. We sent someone something to start the holiday off correctly and this is what he said, “Yes I did receive your letter on May 6th the day before. I want to thank you for two reasons. First for the gift you sent me. And second for the idea of “It’s More Blessed To Give Day” as I enjoyed ‘paying it forward’ on that day.” Hallelujah!
