Kirani James – London 2012

By Lover of Words

Kirani James, from Grenada, won a Gold Medal in the Men’s 400 Meter Final. This was the first Olympic Gold his country has ever won. James ran a time of 43.94 seconds and it was said that no Non-American athlete, in this event, has gone under 44 seconds.

Kirani is a true champion in every since of the word. He wants to inspire young athletes in his country to never give up and compete. He stated that there was a guy, in his country, that was faster than him but he fell by the wayside. Kirani is 19 years old  and is not only an Olympic Gold Medalist but he also has a World Class Character.

Be on the lookout for this young man. He is going to accomplish big things in his life. I look forward to seeing just how many people he inspires.  I am a true believer that, “A champion is one on the field and off the field.” Keep up the good work Kirani!
